Preventative Septic maintenance inspection/Agreement

Preventative Septic Maintenance

The best time to address a septic problem is before it becomes an emergency. Routine preventative maintenance can help extend the life of your septic system, identify developing problems early, and reduce the risk of unexpected backups and costly repairs.

At WastePro Septic & Groundworks, we provide preventative septic maintenance for homeowners and businesses throughout Southeastern North Carolina.

Why Preventative Maintenance Matters

Your septic system works every day, and many important components are underground or out of sight. A system may appear to be working normally while pumps, filters, floats, piping, or other components are beginning to develop problems.

Routine maintenance gives us an opportunity to evaluate the system and identify concerns before they turn into larger issues.

Preventative Maintenance Services

Depending on the type of septic system, maintenance may include:

  • Septic Tank Inspections
  • Routine Septic Pumping
  • Effluent Filter Cleaning
  • Pump & Float Testing
  • Aerator Inspection
  • Alarm System Testing
  • Control Panel Inspection
  • Lift Station Inspection
  • Pump Chamber Evaluation
  • Distribution Box Inspection
  • Accessible Line & Connection Inspection
  • Riser & Lid Inspection
  • Drain Field Evaluation
  • LPD System Inspection & Maintenance
  • Aerobic Treatment System Maintenance
  • Drain Field & Lateral Flushing when appropriate

Catch Problems Before They Become Emergencies

Preventative maintenance can help identify issues such as:

  • Rising sludge and scum levels
  • Failing pumps or aerators
  • Malfunctioning floats
  • Clogged effluent filters
  • Damaged lids or risers
  • High-water conditions
  • Alarm or control problems
  • Restricted piping
  • Uneven drain-field distribution
  • Early signs of drain-field problems
  • Water infiltration into the system

Finding these problems early can often provide more repair options and help prevent a minor issue from becoming a sewage backup or system failure.

Maintenance for Advanced Septic Systems

Systems containing pumps, aerators, alarms, control panels, or pressure distribution components generally require more attention than a basic gravity system.

WastePro can provide preventative maintenance for LPD systems, aerobic treatment systems, lift stations, and other pump-assisted septic systems, helping ensure mechanical and electrical components are operating as intended.

Septic Maintenance Agreements

For homeowners who want ongoing system care, WastePro can offer scheduled maintenance agreements that provide regular inspections and help keep maintenance from being forgotten.

Depending on the system and agreement, scheduled visits can include system inspections, component checks, maintenance recommendations, and documentation of our findings.

WastePro Septic Maintenance Agreements

Keep your septic system operating properly and help reduce the risk of unexpected problems with a WastePro Septic & Groundworks Maintenance Agreement. Our maintenance plans provide scheduled system inspections, preferred service pricing, and additional protection for qualifying components.

Choose the Plan That Works for You

12-Month Maintenance Agreement
Ongoing professional maintenance with three scheduled system inspections during the agreement period and preferred service benefits.

24-Month Maintenance Agreement — Most Popular
Our best option for customers who want longer-term protection and savings.

  • Three scheduled inspections per year
  • Preferred service-call pricing
  • Multi-year agreement discount
  • Extended warranty benefits on qualifying components
  • Available within a 50-mile service radius, subject to agreement terms

One-Time Non-Contract Service Call
No maintenance agreement is required. Customers can schedule service whenever a problem occurs and pay the applicable service-call fee plus any authorized repairs.

Scheduled System Inspections

Maintenance agreements include three comprehensive inspections per year, generally scheduled approximately every four months or as required by the applicable permitting authority.

During each scheduled visit, our technicians evaluate applicable system components, check system operation, and look for conditions that could indicate maintenance or repairs are needed.

Following the inspection, we'll document our findings and provide recommendations for any necessary maintenance or corrective action.

Routine Septic Inspections

You don't need to wait until you're buying a home or experiencing a backup to have your septic system inspected.

Routine inspections can help identify developing problems such as failing pumps, damaged lids, clogged filters, malfunctioning alarms, high liquid levels, or signs of drain-field trouble before they become more serious.

Advanced Septic System Inspections

Mechanical systems generally require more ongoing attention than conventional gravity systems.

WastePro can inspect applicable components of:

  • Conventional Septic Systems
  • Low Pressure Dose (LPD) Systems
  • Aerobic Treatment Systems
  • Pump-Assisted Systems
  • Septic Lift Stations

Preferred Service-Call Pricing

Maintenance agreement customers receive preferred service pricing when problems occur between scheduled inspections.

For qualifying minor adjustments or service needs, a reduced service-call fee may apply. When more extensive repairs are necessary, we'll explain the recommended work and applicable charges before proceeding.

This preferred pricing can provide meaningful savings compared with standard non-contract service calls.

Extended Warranty on Qualifying Components

Eligible maintenance-agreement customers may receive up to a two-year warranty on qualifying major components replaced by WastePro, subject to the written terms of the maintenance agreement and applicable component warranty.

Coverage may require the maintenance agreement to remain continuously active during the applicable warranty period. Covered components, labor, exclusions, limitations, and other warranty conditions will be detailed in the written agreement.

One-Time Non-Contract Service Calls

You do not need a maintenance agreement to call WastePro.

Non-contract customers can schedule a one-time service visit and will be charged the applicable service-call fee plus the cost of any authorized repairs, replacement parts, or additional services.

Extended maintenance-agreement benefits and preferred pricing do not apply to standard non-contract service calls.

Protect Your Septic System Before Problems Start

Routine inspections can help identify developing problems with pumps, aerators, floats, alarms, filters, control panels, and other system components before they become more serious.

Clear, Detailed Reporting

After the inspection, we'll explain what we found in straightforward language.

When appropriate, our inspection documentation can include photographs, observed system conditions, identified concerns, and recommended next steps.

Our goal isn't to sell unnecessary repairs. It's to help you understand the system and determine what, if anything, needs attention.
